Catherine Wentworth (c.1772-1800)

Mother of William Charles Wentworth who was convicted at the Staffordshire Assizes in July 1788 of feloniously stealing ‘wearing apparell’ and was sentenced to transportation for seven years. She formed a relationship with D’Arcy Wentworth aboard Neptune and became his common-law wife.
